Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions (HCVS) has signed a three-year deal to collaborate with Hitachi Europe on new net-zero solutions for fleet owners. The partnership, which includes a financial commitment, has already yielded two new net-zero solutions, known together as Intelligent Fleet Decarbonisation.
The business, a division of Hitachi Capital (UK) Plc, has signed a three-year partnership with Hitachi Europe Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, to collaborate on net-zero solutions.
Two solutions have already been developed, known together as ‘Intelligent Decarbonisation’ and aimed at helping large commercial and public transport fleets simplify and de-risk the process of conversion to EVs; either in full or in part.
The fleet conversion solution aims to simplify and de-risk the process of switching large commercial and public transport fleets from combustion to electric vehicles (EVs).
The service helps build the business case for conversion based upon total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons and vehicle sourcing and financing options. Also, Read Ola offers Corporate Mobility in AUS, NZ, and UK
What Fleet Electrification Needs:
Full or even partial fleet electrification needs to take a range of factors into account, including the size and age of the existing fleet, the suitability of the depot for conversion, and the requirements for grid infrastructure, energy management, and driver training, says HCVS. Opportunities and Viability:
The partnership’s solution considers all of these different elements to assess both the opportunity and viability of converting the fleet to electric and offers an end-to-end solution to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon fleet.
For fleet decision-makers looking to run their operations with the lowest cost and carbon impact, electrification is just one part of the journey and so the partnership has also developed a fleet optimization digital platform, adds HCVS.
Users maximize fleet utilization, predict maintenance, and optimize driver behavior in real-time thanks to harmonizing big data and using artificial intelligence. Further Read AUS: Hyundai Signed MOU with Jemena & Coregas for the Production of Green Hydrogen Gas for Fleet
